Markham provides an excellent standard of living. Education

Markham is part of the York Region District School Board. Comprised of schools throughout Markham and many of its surrounding neighbourhoods, the York Region School Board features one of the most unique high schools in Canada - Unionville High School. Unionville High School offers an Arts Program designed for students looking to pursue a career in Arts. Students have to audition to get into this elite program, and graduate with a specialized post-secondary degree.

Health Care

Markham residents are served by the Markham-Souffville Hospital, a relatively small but advanced hospital located in the city’s East End. Residents are also within about 45 minutes of all of downtown Toronto major health care centers.
